Okay, the real reason for this post was to update you on my vest. Then it got the smackdown from my new favorite bind off. It’s super easy, super stretchy, and still looks good. Mom, pay attention.
Easy Peasy Stretch-tastic Bind Off:
At beginning of bind off row: k2tog, *slip stitch back on left needle, K2tog*, rep to end.
For those of you who need a bit more explanation, you’re decreasing one each time you knit two together. By slipping the stitch you just knit back to your left needle, you effectively bind off instead of just decreasing your stitches by half. Easy, yes?
Edit: Holy crap, I’m totally doing the same colorway. And what the HELL is she doing?
Back to the point. I forgot to add the vest pattern last time around. I’m using Berroco pattern Poitou, click here to go to the site. It’s in a booklet with a few other patterns, so you can browse the pretties.
Also, I was raving about the awesome stripe technique and how pretty it was on the back. Well, voila.
Impressive, I think.

This looks even better than the last post. I really like both sides of this vest. The model looks like she’s wearing a scarf though. It will look waayyy better on you. I remember that denim cotton now. It’s working up great.
